The agreement
These terms are a contract between you and PilotTrack (pilottrack.io). By creating an account or using PilotTrack, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Aviation training disclaimer — read this one
PilotTrack is a study aid. It is not flight instruction, and it does not replace:
- an FAA-certificated flight instructor (CFI),
- official FAA publications, regulations, and current editions of the ACS, or
- any training, endorsement, or experience the FAA requires for a certificate or rating.
We make no warranty that any content satisfies any FAA requirement. Aeronautical information changes; always verify against current official sources and your instructor before relying on anything here. PilotTrack is not affiliated with or endorsed by the FAA, and it must never be used for operational or in-flight decision-making.
AI-generated content
The AI CFI, voice tutor, and AI DPE examiner generate responses with artificial intelligence. AI can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date — even when it sounds confident and cites a source. Treat AI answers as practice material, not authority, and verify anything that matters against official FAA publications or your instructor.
Your account
Keep your credentials secure and your account information accurate. Your account is for you — don't share it or resell access. You must be at least 13 years old to use PilotTrack. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
PilotTrack offers a free tier and paid subscriptions. Paid plans are billed through Stripe on our website at the price and billing interval shown to you at purchase, and renew automatically until cancelled.
Cancelling: cancel any time in Settings. Your paid access continues until the end of the billing period you already paid for, then your account drops to the free tier. We don't issue prorated refunds for partial periods.
Deleting your account: deleting your account (Settings → Danger Zone) cancels any active subscription immediately, and no refund is issued for the unused remainder of the billing period. Deletion is permanent — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is removed.
Free-tier limits, features, and prices may change; changes to your subscription price will be communicated before they apply to you.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- share, resell, or circumvent access controls or free-tier limits;
- scrape, bulk-export, or programmatically extract course content or AI responses;
- abuse the AI features (including attempts to make them produce content unrelated to aviation study, or automated/excessive use);
- reverse engineer the service or interfere with its operation or other users;
- use the service for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Content and ownership
The PilotTrack app, lesson structure, questions, and original content belong to PilotTrack and are licensed to you for personal study, not for redistribution. Content derived from FAA publications remains subject to its public-domain source — our arrangement, explanations, and presentation are ours.
Your data — your logbook entries, notes, and other content you add — remains yours. You give us permission to store and process it to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
CFI referral program
Instructor accounts may earn referral commissions on referred students' payments, paid via Stripe Connect, under the rates and thresholds shown in the instructor dashboard. Commission terms may change prospectively. Pending commissions on account deletion are handled as described during the deletion flow.
Disclaimers and limits on liability
PilotTrack is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of content, or uninterrupted availability.
To the maximum extent the law allows, PilotTrack is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Termination
You can stop using PilotTrack or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or where required by law; where reasonable, we'll give you notice.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use PilotTrack after changes take effect means you accept them.
